TIME Can there be any more self-evident truth than the statement: "There can never be a first second!" ? It is not theoretically possible for there to be any second that did not have a second before it. There can be no first second where no prior seconds had elapsed. There was never a moment in time where no time existed before it. There can be a first second to our known universe, our little cosmic speck of dust but not a first second to The Universe. Time is not a manmade construct or an illusion. Time may be a perception and every 3D object, animate and inanimate gets its own unique timeline but nothing can exist outside of time. What we do know of time is that the velocity of our frame of reference determines how time actually passes. The faster we move through space, the slower we move through time. Every unique frame of reference shares its perception of time among the objects inside any frame that shares the same relative speed and same relative trajectory. But perception of time and the passage of time changes between observers. Time is relative and relative to each of us there was a discreet beginning to our known universe and a point where our localized time began. Understanding what an Infinite Universe means, is that there can be no first second of time nor last second of time. There can be no smallest unit of time nor largest unit of time. An infinite span of time had passed before our known universe came into existence. An infinite span of time shall pass after the last footprints we ever existed have faded away. So accept our known universe is nothing more than a point in time and space and that is step one in trying to grasp what it means to be part of an infinite Universe. Spacetime does constitute the first four dimensions of existence but time is not the fourth dimension. Time is the first dimension. Time exists outside of mass or energy binding to it and not even a one dimensional line of distance can be said to exist outside of its own line of time. We all share a master time line while at the same time we each have our own time line for the true natural state of nature is that every cohesive frame of reference has its own intersection with the line of time. Lastly time is linear and moving faster than the speed of light ( if ever achieved ) does not cause you to go backwards in time nor can antimatter travel backwards in time. #time
